Announcement - Lisa Bench, 23, passed her final Associate Chartered Accountant exams and is now a fully qualified ACA.
Senior Partner, Paul Stapleton has said he is proud of a young accountant at this firm who is celebrating exam success. Lisa Bench, 23, passed her final Associate Chartered Accountant exams and is now a fully qualified ACA.
The achievement follows five years of study from the Association of Accounting Technicians intermediate and technician levels. The ACA is regarded worldwide as the top financial qualification and awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Lisa, who attended Ivybridge Community College and joined Parkhurst Hill straight from school, said: "I fell in love with numbers while I was at school and did my work experience with an insolvency firm. "After my A-levels I was going to study maths at university but went straight into employment as I knew what I wanted to do."
Lisa is a senior accounts assistant and manages a portfolio of clients with partner in the firm, David Tromans. She studied for her ACA qualification with Reed Business School in the Cotswolds, attending each month and taking eight exams over two years.
She said: "I am both elated and relieved that my hard work has paid off and would like to thank my employers for their help and support." Next year Lisa plans to study for her Chartered Tax Adviser qualification while her long term ambition is to be a partner.
Paul Stapleton said: "We are all extremely proud of Lisa. Attaining this qualification takes a great deal of hard work and is an example of our firm's investment in the future. It is important for us to maintain a high level of skill among employees so that we can continue to provide clients with the service they have come to expect over the years. Lisa is one of a number of trainees progressing through the ranks at Parkhurst Hill."
